Fun, Travel
Number 9 on my list of 100 Things to do Before I Die is Visit every National Park in the United States. I love our National Parks. Absolutely love them. I’m sure this love is something my parents instilled in me at a very young age. When he was younger, my dad wanted to be a Park Ranger, and I could feel his love for the parks until he passed away.

When I was a girl, I used to dream about working at a National Park for a summer — or two. My favorite park of all is Yellowstone National Park, so that’s where I wanted to be — and my location of choice within the Park would have been Old Faithful. I knew where the cabin I’d stay in would be. I knew which paths I’d walk to get to work. I dreamed it so vividly, I’m not sure the reality could have matched my imaginary world.

I’ve been to several Parks in my lifetime: Yellowstone, Kenai Fjords, Grand Canyon,  Yosemite, Redwood, the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Mesa Verde, Rocky Mountain, Acadia, Glacier, the Badlands, the Great Smoky Mountains, Arches, Bryce, Canyonlands,Zion, and Grand Teton, but there are many parks I haven’t visited yet.

Happy Travels to us all 🙂
